| Who knew a luxury hotel in one of Asia's most dynamic metropolises could pull off small-town virtues? Lucky for its guests, the Mandarin Oriental prides itself on a tradition of longstanding service, so visitors may find themselves greeted today by the staff member who welcomed them 10 years ago. Likewise, the dining options are as classic as ever-the Krug Room is still one of the city's most exclusive private dining venues. But that doesn't mean that the hotel is dated: The Mandarin underwent a massive face-lift in 2006, and the hotel now boasts everything from an ultra-stylish 27-square-foot Mandarin Suite down to details like Hermￃﾨs toiletries in the bathrooms.
