| It's hard to believe that below the graceful portals of the 27-floor JW Marriott-hotel of choice for former president George Bush (H.W., that is)-lies the humming retail, entertainment and transportation hub Pacific Place. Within the hotel, there's no evidence of it; the VIPs staying in the suites have access to a personal butler, while guests in one of the only slightly more modest rooms can rely on a one-touch button to satisfy any special requests. It's the seclusion that attracts high-powered guests, but the restaurants-Q88 Wine bar, JW's California and Sushi Bar, and Fish Bar-are popular with locals and visitors alike, especially the latter spot, which boasts a relaxed alfresco vibe. |
