The Sheraton is a happy-go-lucky hotel. The property, which sits at right angles to both The Peninsula and the InterContinental, induces smiles with its floating oasis of a rooftop pool and it's great Oyster & Wine Bar. Plus, the workers' good mood is infectious; the doormen greet each arrival with alacrity and the staff in the club lounge encourages guests to squeeze in a last order at the complimentary cocktail hour. This is a cheerful place, and we're not just talking about the decor-the rooms are a neat combination of efficiency and snugness-but throughout the property. Even if you're not staying, drop by the Sky Lounge at dusk for some splendid cocktails. It'll leave a grin on your face.
