| You know you're in for something special when you see the hundreds of hand-blown Venetian glass spoons dangling from the ceiling. For an all-around quality dining experience, it's hard to beat this restaurant. Try one-upping the delectable cuisine; a great wine list; attentive service; a relaxed yet stylish environment (eel-skin upholstery, a high-tech open kitchen); and stunning harbor views. Entrees run the gamut of spit-roasted meat and pan-fried fish (using premium imported ingredients, of course). Whatever you end up ordering for your main, start off with ceviche of fresh king crab with spicy avocado, crispy taro and mixed herbs. The restaurant shows off its inventiveness with desserts like roasted pineapple, which is poached, caramelized and filled with rum cream. And you can't go wrong with the 10-available-nightly homemade ice cream flavors, with scrumptious selections like green apple or brown butter. It's a tasty piece of renowned French chef Alain Ducasse's global-empire pie. |
