| Living the spa life is not only possible at this hotel spa, it's encouraged. So don't just book for an hour or three; make it an overnighter. The Plateau's 14 spa residential rooms are Japanese samurai-tastic: futons, low and minimalist furniture, and the most ahh-worthy feature? A glass-sided infinity bath for two. You could chill out, settle in for an in-room massage, soak in the bath while you compose a haiku, and wake up to a healthy, alfresco breakfast on the balcony or outside under the trees. The spa's granite-, wood- and water-designed treatment rooms are just the places for a deep-pressure Hong Kong massage (HK$860), Tridoshic Restorative ayurveda massage (HK$980), or the absolute must-try Plateau massage (HK$980), which is a sampler of shiatsu, Swedish and Thai techniques. The facial menu is one of the most sophisticated in town with French Carita, June Jacobs and Decleor specialties.
